Founded

Utah's Little Switzerland

Midway is a hidden gem just minutes from Park City, offering a completely different mountain experience. Founded by Swiss immigrants in the 1860s, the town retains its European character with Swiss-style architecture, community celebrations, and a slower pace of life.

The town is famous for the Homestead Crater, a geothermal hot spring inside a beehive-shaped limestone dome — one of only a few such formations in the world where you can actually swim. The warm, mineral-rich waters stay at 90-96°F year-round.

Beyond the crater, Midway offers world-class golf courses, cross-country skiing at the 2002 Olympic venue, hot air balloon rides over the valley, and the magical Ice Castles attraction each winter.
